Kiki Ebsen
Kiki has dedicated her life to working with horses, growing up on her family’s ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains where she excelled in junior riding competitions. Over the last twenty years, Kiki has expanded her focus to include healing through equine-assisted services, particularly with rescued horses. She is Level 2 trained through the Natural Lifemanship Institute to provide Trauma-Informed Equine-Assisted Services and has extensive experience facilitating Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) for both groups and individuals. Her approach is empowering, educational, and enlightening.
Kiki’s method, Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing (NEIGH), blends a deep understanding of horse behavior with the philosophies of yoga, natural horsemanship, and trauma-informed equine-assisted practices. She believes that horses, as highly sensitive and sentient beings, respond to human energy, emotions, and body language. By incorporating principles such as breath awareness, balance, and mindfulness, participants learn to regulate their nervous systems and connect with horses in a grounded and centered manner. Kiki’s goal is to guide others toward healthier relationships with themselves and the world around them by fostering meaningful connections that honor the unique qualities of both horses and humans.
Kiki is a registered yoga teacher (RYT500), with additional certifications through Yoga 12 Step Recovery and Stanford Medicine’s YogaX Mental Health program. She is also a Masterson Method Equine Specialist (MMES), certified to teach and offer equine bodywork techniques within the Equine-Assisted Services community.
