Jeremiah Pitts

As a dedicated advocate for the military community, Jeremiah Pitts brings a lifetime of personal and professional experience to his role as the Veterans Affairs Liaison for The Meadowglade.

Born in Reading, PA, to two military parents, he grew up with a deep-rooted appreciation for the sacrifices and unique challenges faced by service members and their families. This “Army brat” upbringing inspired his own path of service.

Jeremiah is an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran, having served from 2006 to 2010. During his time in the Navy, he was deployed to 13 countries, including missions in the Middle East, which provided him with invaluable global perspective and a profound understanding of the military experience.

Upon transitioning to civilian life, he dedicated his career to continuing his service, focusing on supporting fellow veterans. His journey has spanned multiple key roles within the federal government and local veteran support systems. He began as a Veterans Claims Assistant with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Philadelphia, where he gained foundational expertise in navigating the complex benefits system. In Los Angeles, he further expanded his government experience as a Procurement Technician with U.S. Pretrial Services and as an IT Professional for the U.S. Census Bureau.

His passion for direct veteran advocacy led him to become a Veteran Service Officer (VSO) for the LA County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, serving at both the historic Bob Hope Patriotic Hall and the Sepulveda VA Hospital. In this capacity, he guided countless veterans through the process of securing the benefits they earned.

He also served as the Transition Coordinator for Onward Ops, where he taught Transition Assistance Program (TAP) classes to active-duty service members across Los Angeles County at military bases, unions, and private companies. These mandatory classes equipped transitioning personnel with the critical resources and information needed for a successful return to civilian life. His VSO work culminated in a role at the Los Angeles Air Force Base, a U.S. Space Force installation, where he continued to support the nation’s service members.

To complement his hands-on experience, Jeremiah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2022 and a diploma as a Cyber Security Professional from ABCO Technology in 2023.

Today, Jeremiah is proud to leverage his comprehensive background as the Veterans Affairs Liaison at The Meadowglade. His mission is to build strong, lasting bridges between The Meadowglade’s vital behavioral health services and the veteran community, ensuring that those who have served the country have a clear and supported pathway to the care they deserve.
